This is one of my all-time favorite recipes. It makes a great pizza dough in a flash. We eat homemade pizza a lot in the summer with fresh ingredients from the garden. So, the next time you need to make a quick dinner, give this recipe a try and top the pizza with your favorite ingredients.
Gather up your ingredients: yeast, oil, salt, sugar and flour.
Dissolve 1 package yeast with 1 cup very warm water. Add 2 tablespoon oil, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon sugar. It's now ready to pat into an oiled pizza pan.
1 tablespoon instant yeast
1 cup very warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
2 1/2 cups flour
Dissolve yeast with water. Add oil, salt and sugar. Mix in flour until a soft dough ball forms. Let stand for 5 minutes. Pat into a greased pizza pan.
Doesn't homemade pizza dough just make it so much better? Yum!

Thank you! This was so quick, easy, and delicious. Not only did I have all the ingredients on hand, but the crust turned out beautifully. This one is going in my recipe book.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recipe! Used it to make a pie with spinach, roasted tomatoes, red onions, garlic, cheddar and feta cheese. It was excellent! And the dough was actually done in only 5 minutes, which was really surprising! The reason I don't make pizzas more often is because of the time involved in making the dough and letting it rise, but 5 minutes seems to be enough and it rose like a champ!
ReplyDeleteI think on a medium sized pan this recipe is enough for two pizzas, because although mine was extremely tasty, the center of the dough didn't cook all the way through (550F for ~7 to 8mins) though the bottom was starting to go dark. Probably due to the thickness of the pie, hence why I believe your dough measurements are suited to two medium pizzas.
Thanks!
